There are
a number of
steps prior
to creating
handwoven
wearable art.

Planning cloth to
be worn as a garment
begins with selecting a type of weave, fiber
and weave pattern suitable for clothing.
Then the fun of "yarn shopping" begins.  Carrol selects cottons, acrylics,
rayons and novelty yarns from her extensive inventory of hundreds of
coned yarns she purchases primarily from mill end distributors in several
southeastern states.

Colors, textures and correct fiber count, to insure proper garment drape
and feel, are all considered in her yarn selection.
